Traveling:
Who loves to travel?--I know I sure do! My favorite traveling experience was when my friends and I went to Puerto Rico for an entire week during spring break last year. It was my first time experiencing a different culture and a way of life. At first it was very difficult to adapt because I did not know any Spanish. After a few days I picked up on a few key words and I had a few friends with me who spoke fluent Spanish to help me out. One of my favorite activities was when we went walking through a cave and when we reached the other opening of it the view was absolutely breathtaking. I really loved the view because it is a different view of Puerto Rico that people normally wouldn't associate the country with.
Another favorite memory was when we visited the one town called Old San Juan. There were a lot of little shops and vendors throughout the little town. I thought it was very interesting how brightly colored the buildings were and how the doorways were set up. I also loved how all of the roads were in brick.
I found it simply interesting that you were able to take pictures, when there was no one on the street. I always pictures Puerto Rico a very active place. As usual, I see your admiration for using a camera. My favorite traveling experience would definitely be the cruises I went on to the Caribbean. To be exact, I’ve been to the Bahamas twice and Bermuda once. The crystal blue water, the seemingly store bought sand, the palm trees, ect. It all looked photo shopped to me.

ReplyDeleteWell... I have only been to Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, Maryland, and Ohio. Out of those places I would say I love Wildwood, New Jersey because of its location. The boardwalk is two miles long including stores, miniature golfing, restaurants, the famous polish ice, and amusement piers. In driving distance there is Stone Harbor which is very useful for shopping. Cape May also great for shopping and the view of Light Houses. I guess you can say I'm not that adventurous. I would love to be, but can be expensive. I love how your particular pictures capture the colors.
ReplyDeleteI have been to Old Town in PR and had a wonderful time. You captured it well. The cave picture is really nice! I would love to see what you could do with shooting the bioluminescent bay in PR ...none of my pics turned out because it was waaay too dark. As for favorite places, I love Cabo San Lucas, St. Barts (Rockefeller Beach has the most beautiful water I've ever seen), Mt Zion Utah (that's the pic on my e-portfolio feature page), and New York. Heading to Sonoma and southern Oregon to bike this summer, so that may be on my list too.
